(Week 8)

I usually prefer use of storytelling and pathos over the more logical and fact based stuff, but I have to say that the gun control group for speeches used a lot of logic and facts/statistics really well. I can't remember specific examples now, but I do recall the use of lots of facts regarding gun-related deaths, as well as statistics on the side of anti-gun control. Also, they did incorporate these statistics and facts into their individual stories really well to support their character's stance on the issue. For a debate like gun control, one might think that pathos would bring a bigger effect to an audience, but the facts were really startling and useful.
