prompt 6

I found the explanation of the more "humane" slaughter house a little upsetting. The standards there were decent in my mind but in the industry they are considered great. The fact that the USDA inspector couldn't even properly see how the slaughter was being done made me mad. His job is to overlook that process and he can't even see it being done. It really makes me consider how far people will go for economic benefits. The only reason this is happening is due to the ridiculously high demand of meat in this country. I also think that there should be a much stronger push from the general public to get this changed but there isn't due to the fact people want to keep buying cheat meat products and don't want to spend those extra dollars for something more healthy. It makes me think that in our society money is more important over anything and that's very sad to me.
