Blog Post #2 Week 3
Foer uses many rhetorical techniques in his book Eating Animals that are brought up in Thank you for arguing. One of those techniques that Foer uses is his ability to appeal to your emotions for the animals. He in a sense humanizes animals by giving facts about how animals have the ability to have friendships, make connects, feel sadness etc. This is a great tactic for Foer because he doesnt make them animals, he makes them more like people. People are designed to make connections, we thrive on it, so he is taking something that we are very familiar with and putting it towards animals in order to change our views on eating them.
