prompt 5

In Chapters 4 and 5, Jonathan Safran Foer presents 2 sides, eating meat or being a vegetarian. This fallacy is called false choice. In reality there are many more options to avoid the cruelty of factor farming. One can buy only farm raised and humanely killed animals, or only eat meat on a minimal basis like 2 times a week. In some grocery stores this is available but not in all. He does this in the chapter Slices of Paradise/Pieces of Shit especially in the There is No Pig section of the chapter. He gives his opinion at the end and the opinion of the owner of the slaughter house manager and they are complete opposites. There are definitely more opinions then theirs but he doesn't really touch on them at all in the section.
